The Origin of Evolutionary Success
Ever since I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by the challenge of navigating life’s complexities. Consciously or not, I’ve always recognized that life is both precious and limited—so optimizing my experience on this planet has been a lifelong priority.
Over the years, I started and ran a successful business, mentored entrepreneurs and students, raised a family, stayed active in health and sports, and explored the world. Through all of it, I’ve tried to steer my life intentionally—toward both personal fulfillment and professional goals.
In search of life optimization, I studied and practiced everything from TQM, Reengineering, and Six Sigma to Deming’s 14 Points, the 7 Habits, Atomic Habits, Lean and Process Thinking, Systems Thinking, Anti-Fragility, and Entrepreneurial and Design Thinking.
What I discovered is this: behind all these tools and ideas is a universal process for growth and creative problem-solving. It doesn’t guarantee a perfect life—there’s too much outside our control—but it gives you a much better shot at living your unique best possible life.
It’s worked for me.
And it’s the foundation for Evolutionary Success.
My first company, The First Years, was all about making the first three years of life happier, healthier, and easier for parents and their children.
With Evolutionary Success, I’ve broadened the focus—both in time span and in audience. The mission is to help people of all ages design and live their best possible lives, with intention, fulfillment, and joy.
